Job Description

The Production Assistant will provide administrative support to the Production Assembly department in multiple buildings throughout the campus. Responsibilities include working closely with the Purchasing Department to stay current on best suppliers for office supplies, manufacturing supplies, safety supplies, small tools, and equipment needed in the production area. The position is also responsible for internal deliveries, replenishing all Production Department consumables, issuing Personal Protective Equipment to department employees, researching and resolving expense issues, and entering and receiving purchase requisitions into ERP software. The Production Assistant will work in conjunction with the Production Manager on a variety of long-term projects designed for process improvement. Additionally, this position will cross train on some of the basic functions of the Production Analyst and be able to stand in for or provide double coverage as necessary. Qualified candidates will be proficient with MS office products including Excel and Visio, and will have an enthusiasm for increasing department efficiencies by utilizing technology. Knowledge of MS SharePoint is a big plus.
